Stranded OPGW optical cable – the optical fiber is loosely placed in a sealed, water-blocking stainless steel tube and filled with water-blocking cable paste, and two or three stainless steel optical tubes are distributed in the inner layer of the multi-layer optical cable in a top shape. Stranded optical cables are mostly used in the case of a very high number of optical fibers, generally greater than 48, up to 144. Stranded fiber optic cable can meet the requirements of huge crossover and large current capacity.
OPGW optical cables are mainly used on 500KV, 220KV, and 110KV voltage level lines. Due to line power outages, safety and other factors, they are mostly used on new lines.
