Product Description:
opticaler for the electrical utility's own purposes of protection and control of the transmission line, for the utility's own voice and data communication. Optical fibre ground wire (OPGW) is a dual-function optical cable. It aims to replace the traditional electrostatic/shielded/grounded wires on overhead transmission lines, and additionally contains optical fibres that can be used for telecommunications purposes. OPGW must be able to withstand the mechanical stress exerted on the overhead optical cable by environmental factors such as wind and ice. OPGW must also be able to handle electrical failures on transmission lines, provide grounding paths, and not damage the sensitive optical fibre inside the optical cable. The design of OPGW optical cable is composed of an optical fibre core (which may include a single-tube optical fibre unit depending on the number of optical fibre cores). The core is encapsulated in a sealed hardened aluminum tube, and the aluminum tube is covered with one or multiple layers of steel wire and/or alloy wire. The installation process is very similar to that of the wire installation process, but the pulley or pulley of the appropriate size must be used carefully to avoid damaging or squeezing the optical cable. After installation, when the optical cable needs to be connected, it is necessary to cut off the wire, expose the central aluminum tube, and easily cut it with the pipe cutting tool. Most users like to use colour-coded subunits because they make the preparation of the junction box very
easy.
